   I realized I was mixing it up with Battle Bull, which I need to take a second look at.

   I find the control scheme charmingly idiosyncratic, one button fires, one button rotates the turrent clockwise. It promotes certain assymetries, such as staying to the right of vertically scrolling screen so that if need be you can swing out and keep your gun trained on a forward enemy, and rotating clockwise around bosses to “circle strafe”

   I keep meaning to get just the right version of Raiden, the one with the big walking stompers, and then one that lets me cheat horrendously so I can the whole world.
